01 Opening
Welcome to all by Hans Jacobs.Hans expressed his apologies regarding the DoesData (former DataDoes) working group, and the misunderstanding in his invitation regarding the term breeding recommendation.Congratulations from all to Jettie Alberts: She received the “Gouden Erespeld”, a badge of honour for being a judge for over 25 years and services to the Dutch dog world in general.
02 Introduction
Focus on the passed year – DoesData.
This is the first international project. Until now, this is an absolute success story. We can be proud of our achievement. This is just the beginning of a hopefully constantly growing international trust in one another.
03 DoesData
Hans expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in the program.4 countries are the starting basis: Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Denmark.
More countries are welcome. The DoesData is a pilot project, not only for the Schapendoes but also for the ZooEasy who obviously consider this as a future-oriented chance on an international market.Import from the Dutch database was possible but lots of overworking was necessary.Extra cost 1,000 euro.

About 20,000 dogs and 10,000 breeders/owners are in the program. The sheer numbers do not mean a lot, it is the density of health information that is decisive.

(Almost) all Danish, Swiss, Swedish, Finnish, German, Norwegian and Dutch dogs have been entered in DD as well as many dogs from other countries. With exception of the IGS even most recent litters have been added.
Show results of German Club shows and specialties of the last few years were entered.
The eye examination page has been adapted and will be translated.
We are working on the list of coat colors (selection and translation).

For each country a special environment will be created where “confidential national data” can be stored. This environment is only visible for the managing country. Special whishes for this environment can be expressed.
A similar environment could be created for the breeding committees of the participating clubs. All data that all countries must or may see should be stored in this environment.

Accounts
Super manager  – Godelieve de Wit-Bazelmans
National manager – Every country decides on one manager
– Breeders level
– Readers level

All
To get familiar with the program it is sensible to start on a reader’s level. Godelieve will probably have  reader’s account ready for the members of DD by January 2013.Clubs are welcome to join. January 2013  Godelieve
Statutes will be developed. A preparation group will work out a suggestion for statutes for DoesData. In the working group for DoesData: Bjarne, Thomas, Ria, Ruth and Godelieve.Financing: All invoices are paid, so purchase costs and fees for the first year are settled. Bank fees that were not anticipated are taken over by Hans privately As soon as possible Bjarne, Thomas, Ria, Ruth, Godelieve
04 Breeding recommendations
Population genetics
We have to look to new lines. There is obviously growing pressure by politics to pay attention to problems being caused by rising inbreeding effects. Denmark’s kennel club introduced rules by which a bitch or dog are only allowed to have up to 20 puppies. National restrictions like these will very doubtfully  solve any problem.
Character tests
Some countries demand character test for breeding. The ISF will look into the character tests and compare those of the different countries.
All countries send test forms to Randi.
She will obtain the forms from Sweden.
The topic shall be taken up next year again.

Europeen studbook
Is the ISF website the right place for the Studbook? Can we improve exchange to the best of our common database?
Question of maintenance of data. It is easier to maintain a national list.
DoesData can be used for the studbook but it will leave out a number of dogs. This again is only advantageous only for members.
Suggestion to change website: links to the relevant national pages only (instead of detailed list of dogs).
PRA
Offspring out of homozygote-free pairings (with test results ++) need not to be tested in the future. Offspring of pairings with at least one not-tested parent must be tested.
Thus the next generation of a “++ x ++”-pairing would again be subject to a PRA-test.Each country has to discuss this with regards of their breeding rules.
HD
General feeling it that HD is not a serious problem, but the problem of ED seems to be increasing.
 All
Appeal to all countries to pass on information that some Schapendoes might not tolerate some medication and some infusion narcotics because of the MDR1-defect.
Genetic eye problems
Comment of eye specialists in Dortmund and head of the breeding board of the VDH:MPP: differentiation whether severe form of disease or not – dogs with severe forms should be eliminated from breeding. Problem: Can genetic diseases be differentiated with regard to the phenotypical manifestation? Cannot dogs with a rather light form of a genetic disease produce offspring with rather severe problems. The quality of the manifestation doesn’t say anything about the inherited problem.Should affected dogs be combined with “free” dogs? Danger: Problem would be spread in the entire population. Should dogs be used only in specific lines?
Allergies:
Absolutely on the rise.
Should we collect information on these diseases to find out about the frequency?
Should we exclude the healthy brothers and sisters? With a rather small genetic basis we have to be extremely careful to exclude dogs from breeding. Nevertheless topics like this one have to be watched with open eyes. All clubs are asked to discuss this in their relevant committees so that it can be taken up again next year. September 2013  All
05 Inventarisation
All members agreed on using the same ”old” inventarisation form. Lone sends a copy to Randi who distributes it to all countries. All countries may have the form in their own language as long as it also is in English.Specific attention has to be applied to character in the future. Some clubs demand a special character test to accept dogs for mating. The IGS intends to develop a separate temperament test because it is demanded by the German Kennel Club.

06 Report of the treasurer
Where do we go next year? The Schildkamp is very expensive.
Godelieve has looked into an alternative in Leerdam where dogs are allowed. This is not a hotel.
Godelieve will establish contact. Ruth will do the booking.
After deduction of all costs the balance/surplus amounts to 648,36 Euro (date: Nov 28, 2012).

07 Election
Hans Jacobs was reelected Chairman for two years without a dissentient vote and with two abstention votes.
 08 Miscellaneous
Statutes
We need a slim, but solid basis of regulations (new members, elections, etc.).
Having had no statutes proved to be a problem in establishing DD (the ISF not being a juristic person).A working group was appointed. They will develop a suggestion of statutes for the members to agree on.In the working group: Ria, Ruth, Thomas, Bjarne
Blood database:
New genetic problems seem to emerge (MPP, RD, etc.).
Suggestion is a systematic development of the Blood Bank in Berne internationally. Some members found it more valuable if there were a clinical examination first, so that the collection of blood does not occur at random.
As soon as possible Ria, Ruth, Thomas, Bjarne
Hans prepares information from Bern and distributes it to all members.  2013  Hans
The (clinical) Kidney project:
Kidneys are a serious problem. Not only on our breed, but several breeds.
The clinical project in Utrecht is finished.
Prof. Leeb (Berne) is possibly prepared to take up kidneys as a new genetic project but needs the results of the clinical analysis.
Jettie will contact Utrecht.
 Early 2013  Jettie
ESS
Annie reported from the ESS in France.
70 Schapendoes entered.
Information on the French website.2013 in Denmark
2014 in Finland
2015 in Italy
2016 in The Netherlands
Hans would like the board to prepare the meeting earlier so the clubs can address their issues at an early state.
